The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) issued the 3rd Batch of China Green Product (CGP) certification implementation rules on March 18, 2022 (CNCA Announcement No. 5 of 2022). This, joined by the 1st and 2nd batches of CGP certification implementation rules, make CGP certification cover as many as 16 different product types. It is worth mentioning that the 3rd batch include “Refrigerators, air-conditioners and washing machines” and “tyres”, which could have an impact on a large number of foreign manufacturers selling or exporting those types of products onto China market.
